Root Canal Treatment in Sector 51, Gurgaon
A tooth that aches through the night, or that stays sore long after a sip of something cold, is usually the reason people look for root canal treatment in Sector 51, Gurgaon. The nerve inside the tooth has become inflamed or infected, and it will not heal by itself. A root canal removes that tissue and keeps your own tooth in place. At Artistree Dental and Cosmetic Clinic it is done in a single sitting wherever the tooth allows.

Signs a tooth may need one
- Pain that wakes you, or a throbbing that comes on without a trigger
- Sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers after the food or drink is gone
- Pain on biting
- A pimple on the gum, or swelling near the tooth
- A tooth that has turned darker after a knock
Sometimes there are no symptoms at all and the problem only shows on an X-ray. Equally, pain can stop on its own because the nerve has died. That is not the same as the tooth getting better, so do not take it as a reason to cancel.
What happens in the chair
- The area is numbed, and the doctor checks that it is numb before starting.
- A small opening is made in the top of the tooth.
- The infected tissue is removed, and the canals are cleaned and shaped.
- The canals are sealed so that bacteria cannot return.
- The tooth is restored, usually with a post and core or a crown where it is needed.
The experience people dread is mostly the toothache that came before. Nishant Kumar, a patient, wrote on Google in May 2025:
"Had a smooth and painless root canal at Artistree Dental. Dr. Shveta was professional, understanding, and explained things well."
One sitting or more?
Many teeth can be finished in one visit. Others need two, for example when an active infection has to settle first, or when a molar has complicated canals. The doctor will tell you which applies to you after seeing the X-ray.
Do not skip the crown
A root-treated back tooth has often lost much of its structure, and it can crack under chewing force if nothing protects it. Dr Shveta Setia Thareja is a prosthodontist, so crowns are her own field, and the clinic offers zirconia and E-max crowns among others. If a root canal done elsewhere is giving trouble, re-treatment is also available. To have a painful tooth checked, call +91 92053 01454 or send a WhatsApp message to the clinic in Mayfield Garden.

Frequently asked questions
Does a root canal hurt?
The tooth is numbed first, so you should not feel pain during treatment. Some tenderness for a few days afterwards is normal.
Is it better to pull the tooth out?
Keeping your own tooth is usually the better choice if it can be saved. A missing tooth then needs replacing to stop its neighbours drifting.
Can I eat after a root canal?
Wait until the numbness wears off, and avoid chewing hard food on that side until the tooth has its final restoration.
Can a failed root canal be redone?
Often, yes. The clinic provides re-treatment, and an apicoectomy is another option in some cases. An X-ray will show what is going on.
